The Problem

Nurses provide 95% of patient care and account for up to half of a hospitals costs, but they are experiencing low nurse satisfaction, increasing overtime, turnover, and adverse patient outcomes result in millions in excess costs per year for hospitals

A major contributor to the problem decision tools and data available to nurse leaders are focused on tracking and reporting and not deeper analysis required for a complex process that involves aligning staff supply and patient care demand.

This “analysis gap” results in more assumption-based rather then evidence-based decisions that lead to workload imbalances, nurse dissatisfaction, overtime, and turnover.
